Min. eligibility criteria for admission in MBA at JISCE (JIS College of Engineering) : Candidates should secure a minimum of 50% marks in graduation as well as in the 10+2 level also.Candidates with a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT or any equivalent examination can also directly apply for GD/PI.

Yes, it is considered one of the best colleges of engineering in Kolkata. It was established in 2000 and is affiliated with MAKAUT, Kolkata. The college is also NAAC accredited.  JISCE is generally considered good for placements. In 2023, 86% of students were placed, with the highest package offered being INR 12 LPA and the average package being INR 4.50 LPA. Some of the top recruiters that visited the campus include IBM, Cognizant, and Infosys.

To be eligible for an MBA course at JIS College of Engineering, the candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in both the graduation as well as in 10+2 also. Candidates with a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT or any equivalent examination can directly apply for GD/PI. It's possible that the cutoff marks for MBA may not be publicly available or may vary from year to year. Yes, JIS College of Engineering is good as well as better than IMS Kolkata because in engineering college the most important aspect for comparison between the two colleges is placements. The placement in JIS is much better than IMS because in IMS the highest package offered was 4.2 Lakhs which is not a very good package while in JIS approximately 80-90 percent of students get placed with various top companies visiting the college, such as Flipkart, Google, and many more.

Admission to postgraduate admission is done based on merit in GATE/ PGET/ AMPAI-W /WB-JE MAT. Postgraduate courses offered are M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. For MBA interested candidates must pass Graduation (In any stream) or equivalent examination from a recognised University/ Institute with a valid rank/ score of MAT (conducted by AIMA)/ WB-JE MAT (conducted by WBUT)/ AMPAI - WB.

Decent placements are provided to students at JIS College of Engineering. After 3rd-semester students become eligible for the placement and several companies like Bandhan Bank, Axis Bank, Primal Finance, etc. visit the college for hiring. Almost 80% of the students get placed. The average package provided was INR 400000/year. So many companies are visited such as Flipkart, TCS, Justdial, and IBM.
