Candidates who have completed Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate in English, Maths, Physics, and Chemistry are eligible to apply for JK Lakshmipat University BTech programme. A minimum of 60% aggregate in Mathematics in Class 12 is required to apply for BTech. Students in their final examination of Class 12 may apply; however, admission will be provisional, subject to achieving the minimum marks.

Students falling into the specified categories are entitled to a scholarship equivalent to 10% of the academic fee in the first year, if they do not qualify for any above-mentioned scholarships. JKLU offers Early Bird Scholarships to candidates who apply in various application rounds conducted by the university.
