In order to get an admission to the MSc programmes at JMI, applicants must have a BSc or BSc Honours degree with at least 50% aggregate marks in their final exams. Only those with these requirements will be eligible to take the JMI Entrance Exam for MSc courses.

Jamia Millia Islamia's mass communication courses are taught at AJK MCRC or AJK Mass Communication Research Centre. To apply for these courses, aspirants must take the JMI Entrance Exam. The application fee for this exam is INR 700. It's a three hour long test where applicants are supposed to attempt 20 objective and 180 subjective questions. This is followed by an interview round. Candidates also have to showcase their portfolios. It must be noted that only postgraduate mass communication courses are offered at AJK MCRC.

JMI is a famous and highly competitive mass communication entrance exam conducted by the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University for admission in various Undergraduate (Bachelor), Postgraduate (Master), PG Diploma Advanced Diploma, M.Phil Ph.D. and Certificate courses. The last date for submission of applications to the JMI entrance test, regarding admission into an LLM course, is normally announced on the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia. Regarding the same, candidates desirous to join the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, for the LLM course must follow the official notifications by the university regarding the updated dates. Application should therefore be made online and all documents forwarded well before the closing date. The deadline for this application has expired. Candidates should check the dates to apply for the new session.
