The descriptive section of JMI entrance exam is lengthy as it includes reading and understanding the questions and answer them in the prescribed word limit. Candidates need to practice the sample questions well in advance to perform good in exam.

Candidates can download the JMI entrance exam sample papers of a particular course from the official website of JMI. Candidates will have to choose the course and the department to get the previous years papers. Shiksha.com has also shared the direct link to download the previous year question papers.

The previous year's Jamia Milia Islamia BA LLB (English) CUET Cut off score was 93.75. In case where many courses or branch are there in one programme, the candidate will be allotted the course or branch as per the preference filled in the application form, strictly as per merit and the admission rules of Jamia Millia Islamia. For upgradation of course or branch, the candidate has to take admission and fill a form at the time of admission, if he or she wants to retain the allotted course or branch or want to upgrade. No. There is no provision for revaluation/re-checking of JMI entrance exam result. The university does not entertain any correspondence in this regard. The decision of the University is binding and final. To score well in the exam candidates must work hard so that they can beat the prescribed cut off for their programme. However, Jamia Millia Islamia releases the answer key after the examination is over. Candidates can file objections related to answer key within three days.

Jamia Millia Islamia adopts certain policy to break the tie, if two candidates get the same scores in the JMI Entrance Exam. The tie breaking policy is made according to the programme. In all other programmes except B.Tech, B.Arch BDS the tie is resolved on the basis of the date of birth that is the candidates older in age is given the higher rank. For interview programmes, candidates securing high marks in the entrance exam is given higher rank. The result of Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam is declared in the form of merit list. The list contains the selected candidates for each course. Category, age, marks obtained in the examination etc. Of the candidates are taken into account while making the list. After releasing the list of selected candidates the process of counseling starts.
