State Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition started as ‘Food Craft Institute’ in the year 1996 and later became ‘Institute of Hotel Management’ in 2001. The Institute is situated in the sprawling city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. IHM was set up by the Dept. of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan and is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, NOIDA. IHM Jodhpur offers a three-year B.Sc. degree programme with an intake of 80 students and a Diploma in three specializations with 30 students in each.IHM Jodhpur Diploma Admission 2023 The intake for each specialisation is 30. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the Diploma is a pass in the 10+2 examination from a recognised board. Candidates are selected for the course based on merit obtained in the qualifying examination.

Placements: About 75% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA. The top recruiters for our course are Oberoi hotels and resorts. Almost 100% of the students got internships in different reputed companies like The Oberoi, The Taj, ITC, The Leela, Hyatt, JW Marriott, etc.Infrastructure: There are different practical rooms like different kitchens for different levels of the course, computer labs, library, restaurant, etc., to meet different needs of the course. The quality of the facilities provided is up to the mark in terms of the hostel, mess, medical, sports and games. Faculty: Teachers here were really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields as per the requirement. Their teaching quality was great, but it could have been better. The course curriculum was relevant, and it also made students industry-ready.Other: I have chosen this course because I was very fascinated by the food and beverage industry. This course has enough opportunities abroad. The thing about our college is it has a good campus.

The minimum eligibility for the Diploma programme is a pass in the 10+2 examination from a recognised board. Admission to the B.Sc. programme is based on the valid score secured in NCHMCT JEE. Admission to the Diploma courses is based on merit in the last qualifying examination.
