Actually, both these courses are excellent. Both have good faculty, good infrastructure and also high market demand. Only point to make difference is placements. Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur have little much better placements than Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation) at IIT Delhi. Finally, I would suggest you Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur if you consider placements.

You may not receive the CBSE improvement examination result in time for counseling, since improvement examinations by CBSE usually get their result after two-three weeks from conducting the improvement exam and counseling rounds for JoSAA starts at the earliest two-three weeks of announcement of results for JEE Main.

JoSAA counsellling makes it possible for you to get admission into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs close to Telangana with a JEE Main CRL rank of 152000 and 96% in intermediate. The colleges that you might also wish to look at are: NIT Warangal, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Nuzvid, GFTIs – IIT Tirupati or IIT Palakkad. But the branch and college allotment depends upon the candidates rank, category and the number of seats available in particular branch and college. Of the total number of seats available in these colleges, half-half or nearly 60 percent of the seats are provided to students hailing from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, respectively. Remem

Admission to the most popular branches in the top NITs or IITs would be very challenging at the JoSAA counselling rank of about INR 3 lakh, as their admission would be closed early. Newer IIITs, state government engineering colleges, and private universities, however, can be considered. There may be some state universities having a few seats in the Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering branches. Some of those private institutions which offer admission based on JEE Main rank or their entrance examinations are UPES, Shiv Nadar University, VIT University (through VITEEE), Amity University, and KIIT University. Additionally, you can

With an overall rank of 139,000 and an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) rank of 29,000 in JEE Mains, most branches at IITs, NITs, and IIITs will not be open. National Institutes of Technology (NITs): The top branches like Computer Science and Engineering or Electrical Engineering will be tough, but you can hope for a few from the following:Civil Engineering Environmental EngineeringMechanical Engineering

Even with a JEE Mains rank of 1.5 Lacs and an OBC-NCL rank of 50,000, there are still a number of colleges you can apply to through JoSAA, even though the chances may vary according to the particular branch and college. Here are some colleges that you could consider:1. National Institutes of Technology (NITs)While NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Patna, NIT Hamirpur, etc. may offer admission in branches such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering under OBC-NCL with your rank, the cutoff generally varies between each rounds of JoSAA and depends on the branch, but some admission will be possible in any

Eligibility criteria for admissions in Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA are set by IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs which usually include a benchmark of a minimum of 75% in Class 12 examinations (or in the top 20 percentile of respective boards) as qualification for eligibility into undergraduate programs in the institutes. However, these sorts of requirements are not strictly applicable in the case of all institutions that come under the JoSAA purview-some of them specifically waive such eligibility conditions for candidates of SC/ST, PwD, or other reserved categories when applying to their institution. Below is the list of passive

No, you should not apply for JoSAA counseling with an expired OBC certificate; even if you have reapplied for a new one, you should wait until it is issued before applying as you may be considered a general category candidate during the counseling process if you cannot produce a valid certificate when required. Key points to remember:Validity is crucial:JoSAA usually requires a recently issued OBC certificate, so an expired one will likely not be accepted. Considered as general category:If you cannot provide a valid OBC certificate during document verification, your application may be treated as a general category application

Yes, you will be qualified to register for JoSAA counselling with a 60% score in Class 12 for the colleges that don't have a 75% cut-off criterion. Though a minimum of 75% in Class 12 marks for general category candidates is stipulated by IITs and NITs and by 65% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged categories, there would be eligibility criteria different from that for each of the colleges. If the institutions you are targeting do not adhere to this cutoff, you may participate in JoSAA counselling provided you have qualified in JEE Main or JEE Advanced and satisfy specific criteria set by those institutions.
