The choices you make in the first round of JoSAA counseling cannot be changed or updated after you have locked your choices for that round. But, you may be able to join the other rounds of JoSAA counseling in which you get an opportunity to change or upload your preferences depending on the available options.Here's the key point:First Round: The actions one gets with an aim to implement in the game if the choices are made, then the changes cannot be done for that round.Subsequent Rounds: You can change your choices of colleges from the next round of counselling.Here are the key tips for JoSAA counseling:Offer as many options as possible – Get a better chance by providing as many options as possible though ranked.Examine your premises—Dear your JEE rank, your category, your state quota, and your gender while filling your preferences.Save your list – Once done make sure you save all your final list of choices.Choice modification – You have the privilege to modify your choices as much as possible depending on the set date.Do not cancel your seat – Withdrawal from the seat is considered as rejection the candidate is locked out in the next round.

JoSAA counsellling makes it possible for you to get admission into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs close to Telangana with a JEE Main CRL rank of 152000 and 96% in intermediate. The colleges that you might also wish to look at are: NIT Warangal, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Nuzvid, GFTIs – IIT Tirupati or IIT Palakkad. But the branch and college allotment depends upon the candidates rank, category and the number of seats available in particular branch and college. Of the total number of seats available in these colleges, half-half or nearly 60 percent of the seats are provided to students hailing from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, respectively. Remember that cutoff ranks may change from one year to the other in order to accommodate varying numbers of students.

Admission to the most popular branches in the top NITs or IITs would be very challenging at the JoSAA counselling rank of about INR 3 lakh, as their admission would be closed early. Newer IIITs, state government engineering colleges, and private universities, however, can be considered. There may be some state universities having a few seats in the Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering branches. Some of those private institutions which offer admission based on JEE Main rank or their entrance examinations are UPES, Shiv Nadar University, VIT University (through VITEEE), Amity University, and KIIT University. Additionally, you can think of state-level institutes such as Shivaji University and Pune University, where specific branches may still be available for seats. A close watch on the extended counselling rounds or special rounds should also yield better results. It is best to check out the cutoffs/eligibility for each institution and branch at the time of JoSAA counselling rounds.

With an overall rank of 139,000 and an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) rank of 29,000 in JEE Mains, most branches at IITs, NITs, and IIITs will not be open. However, you may have some chances of admission to different NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) through JoSAA in branches that are comparatively less in demand.Here are a few things you can do:1. You can think of going through branches like: Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Some of the GFTIs you may think of are: Assam University, Silchar Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU), Shibpur Indraprastha Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi Sikkim University. 4. Additional InfluencesFlexibility of Branch: It is more probable for you to gain admission if you branch into a less choice engineering branch.Round-wise Cut-off: Keep in mind that JOSAA does not fix cutoffs for rounds; the cutoffs fall in later rounds. So, not getting into the first round can be worth checking in later rounds.State Quota: If you are availing the state quota, then having a state quota could bring more chances in an NIT or GFTIs even at a lower cutoff for such a candidate's home state.Thus, your chances of admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs get brighter with an EWS rank of 29,000 in branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or other not-so-popular ones. Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)There are branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), but your rank might place you such that it leads to branches which are a little on the lesser competitive front, for example, IIIT Allahabad, IIITDM Jabalpur.3. Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)With branches like Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, colleges like the Assam University (Silchar), Bengal Engineering and Science University, or Indraprastha Institute of Technology are going to unlock the admission doors to you at such ranks. 4.
