Yes, you will be qualified to register for JoSAA counselling with a 60% score in Class 12 for the colleges that don't have a 75% cut-off criterion. Though a minimum of 75% in Class 12 marks for general category candidates is stipulated by IITs and NITs and by 65% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged categories, there would be eligibility criteria different from that for each of the colleges. If the institutions you are targeting do not adhere to this cutoff, you may participate in JoSAA counselling provided you have qualified in JEE Main or JEE Advanced and satisfy specific criteria set by those institutions.

To find a counselor for JAC and JoSAA counseling, consider online counseling services like GuideForU, that provide step-by-step guide, telephonic as well as WhatsApp support. Educational consultancies in your area usually specialize in the counseling of JEE and could provide you with rank-specific personalized support. Also, look into official JoSAA and JAC websites for resources and contact information that can be helpful for counseling. Yes, with a 54k rank in JEE Mains with a valid EWS certificate, you can definitely get any college through JoSAA counselling. Although it is difficult to predict the college, but the probabilities of getting a decent college with your score are very high. You can register by visiting the official website of JoSAA and fill your choice and preferences along with your score card. You'll be allotted your seat based on your score and preferences followed by counselling rounds and documents verification.

If you are unable to find your Category certificate during JoSAA Counselling then you can change your Category to general any time.  But after allotment of college during JoSAA Counselling, if your Category certificate is found invalid then your whole candidature will be canceled prohibiting you from joining any college alloted.

To get a government engineering college in Punjab through JoSAA, aim for a JEE Mains rank within 10,000–30,000 for top colleges like PEC and NIT Jalandhar. Rankings of 70,000 or higher may be adequate for state quotas or lower-tier universities, depending on the branch and category.

Yes. A student who is eligible for both JAC and JoSAA counselling can register for both and participate in counselling. JAC counselling facilitates admissions to five institutes in Delhi: DTU, IIITD, IGDTUW, DSEU, and NSUT, based on JEE Main Rank. In this process, 85% of seats are reserved for students from the Delhi region, while the remaining 15% are allocated for students from outside Delhi. On the other hand, JoSAA counselling is designed for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and certain Government Funded Technical Institutes across the country, utilizing JEE Advanced Rank for IITs and JEE Main Rank for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.Si
