The JoSAA seat allotment letter is issued once all documents have been verified and the candidate meets the eligibility criteria. Candidates who receive a seat allotment in any round of JoSAA counseling must confirm their seats and upload the necessary documents for online verification. Payment of the seat acceptance fee is also required, as document verification is contingent on this payment. Once all documents and eligibility criteria are validated, the allocated seat will be provisionally confirmed, and candidates will be notified through the online JoSAA 2025 portal. The Partial Admission Fee (PAF) must be paid by candidates who have been provisionally allocated a seat in the NIT+System during the JoSAA 2025 rounds, provided the seat has not been cancelled or withdrawn. Failure to remit the PAF will lead to the rejection of the allocated seat. Candidates can pay the PAF using a debit card, UPI, credit card, or net banking options available on the JoSAA portal. Alternatively, they can generate an E-challan from the JoSAA portal for physical payment at the State Bank of India.

SAF is Seat Acceptance Fees (SAF) on JoSAA. Upon receiving a seat for the first time, candidates must remit the seat acceptance fee in the respective round. Failure to pay the seat acceptance fee constitutes a refusal of the offered or allocated seat and renders the candidate ineligible for further participation in subsequent rounds of the seat allocation process. For payment of seat acceptance fee, candidates should either use Net Banking or Debit card or UPI or Credit card facilities available on JoSAA portal or use e-challan of State Bank of India downloaded from the JoSAA portal.

During the process of document verification in JoSAA, if there is any mismatch between the document uploaded earlier by the candidate JEE Main registration site, JEE Advanced registration site and the document uploaded by the candidate on the JoSAA portal, the offer of admission will be withdrawn. The candidates shall be debarred from further rounds of seat allocation. Thus, the candidate will forfeit the eligibility for admissions to any of the institutes through JoSAA. The decision of JoSAA on this issue shall be final and binding.

No, choosing the option “Freeze” means that the candidate accepts the offered seat and indicates that the candidate is content with the allocated academic program and that the candidate does not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation while retaining the same seat. Such candidates will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of JoSAA (if any).
