If you are planning to appear for the JEE Main 2023 examination, your admission will be based on the JEE Main 2023 score. The improvement exam conducted by CBSE in July 2023 will not affect your JEE Main 2023 score, as the JEE Main 2023 examination will be conducted in early 2023. However, if the CBSE improvement exam result is declared late and you are unable to submit the result at the time of JEE Main 2023 counseling, you may have to submit an undertaking or provisional result Certificate at the time of counseling. You can contact the JEE Main conducting authority or the counseling authority for more information on the documentation required for counseling in case of late declaration of results. It is advisable to keep checking the official websites of CBSE and JEE Main for updates on the improvement exam and counseling processes.

The JoSAA counselling 2023 will be in September 2023. There will be 6 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2023 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide. Candidates who opt Freeze option will be required to complete reporting process between the prescribed deadline. The candidates who are not allotted seats during JoSAA 2023 seat allotment rounds still get a chance to get enrolled in NIT+ system through CSAB counselling 2023. Eligible candidates had to apply for the JoSAA counselling 2023 online on the official website at JoSAA. Nic. In. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced are only allowed to participate in JoSAA 2023. During the counselling of JoSAA two rounds of mock allotment are held to help candidates make correct choices for the real allotment rounds. The JoSAA 2023 seat allotment result is released in online mode after every round. Candidates are allotted seats according to their merit, preferences and availability of seats.
