JoSAA

In Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA) counseling, seats are allocated on the basis of the merit of the candidates, category, availability of seats, and select preferences by students. Students who will be allotted seats have to download the provisional seat allotment letter and an e-challan to remit the seat acceptance fee. Steps to download the provisional seat allotment letter:
1- Visit the official website of JoSAA.
2- Click on the seat allotment link.
3- Login using the JEE Main/Advanced roll number and password.
4- Click on the Submit button.
5- A provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter will be displayed.
6- Download and take a printout of the allotment letter of JoSAA.

Documents Required For IIT Admissions:
1- Passport-sized 2 photographs, identical to the ones uploaded during JEE Advanced.
2- Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
3- Undertaking by the Candidate.
4- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment.
5- Photo Identification Card (issued by government. An agency or last attended school or Class 12 Admit Card).
6- JEE Advanced Admit Card and JEE Advanced Scorecard.
7- Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10th Marksheet).
8- Marksheet of class 12th.
9- Medical Certificate.
10- Category Certificate.
11- Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), if applicable.
12- Passport for foreign nationals, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Certificate. Or PIO Card.
13- this Certificate. If applicable.
14- JoSAA Registration-cum-locked Choices for seat allotment. Documents Required For NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs Admissions:

The applicants qualifying for JEE Main or JEE Advanced will be allowed to take part in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA Counselling.Visit the official website online for the JoSAA Counselling Registration page.After successful registration, choose preferred JoSAA colleges and courses from the mentioned list available.The Counselling schedule will be mentioned on the official website post-JEE Main Results.Finally, the seats are allocated based on the candidate's AIR, category, and availability of seats besides considering other factors as well.JoSAA  Cut-Off Ranking, Opening, and Closing Ranks are released after counseling ends.Candidates can check the previous year's JoSAA Counselling Cut-Off for colleges to get an idea of the expected cut-off.The entire allocation process will be done online.Once the seats have been allocated to the students, they need to get the documents verified and pay the fee at the allotted college.
