You can get GFTI colleges, new IIITs, lower NITs, i.e. eastern side NITs in JoSAA.

Hi,
JoSAA Mock Allotment:
Before the final JoSAA seat allotment results are announced, the authority will conduct two rounds of mock allotment. Mock allotment will give candidates an idea about their chances of getting through the college of their choices on the basis of their JEE Main/ JEE Advanced ranks. Candidates will be given a chance to modify their preference if in case they are not satisfied with the mock allotment results.

JoSAA seat allotment 2019 will begin from June 27 2019. JoSAA Mock Allotment:
Before the final JoSAA seat allotment results are announced, the authority will conduct two rounds of mock allotment. Mock allotment will give candidates an idea about their chances of getting through the college of their choices on the basis of their JEE Main/ JEE Advanced ranks. Candidates will be given a chance to modify their preference if in case they are not satisfied with the mock allotment results.

For IIITs and NITs, you have to report at the nearest reporting center that is mentioned in brochure, i.e. may be NIT or IIIT. Yes, you have to report and pay fee.

Reporting for the first round is in between 28 June to 2nd July. Seat allocation is on 27th June. Therefore, you can't go for reporting on that day.
