Various Journalism courses after 12th include a BA in Journalism, a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication, and a BA in Mass Media. They must have a minimum of 50 Percent in 12th from a recognised board, and any stream (Arts, Science, or Commerce). Some colleges have criteria that require candidates to possess good communication, reading and English skills.

To be eligible for the BA in Mass Communication and Journalism at MGM University's CJMC, candidates must meet the following criteria:Candidates should have completed their 12th grade (higher secondary) with a minimum of 40% marks.A valid score in the MGMU-CET (MGM University Common Entrance Test) is required.Good Proficiency in English and basic computer knowledge are also necessary for admission.
