Dear Jaydeep, As per my knowledge Lovely Professional University offers M.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication). One of my cousin has completed B.J. M. C. programme from this University. He shared his experience so I got to know about this course. Lovely Professional University is one of the best universities in the country and will definitely a good choice for M.J. M. C. They offer exposure for this practical course is worth mentioning. The programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. The main Focus is on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. He told me School of Education, Lovely Professional University- LPU is a leading teacher education institution in northern India. The school offers courses from undergraduate to doctorate level. The courses are recognised by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and the state government. They have their own in campus media channel- Y TV, where the students work and have hands on experience of the real life media channel scenario. Apart from this there are many other events like Coke Studio, YouthVibe, etc. Taking place where the students are made part of it to give them the filed experience. Journalism in a broad sense is all about news reporting whereas mass communication deals with different mediums of media to spread messages, information or entertain masses. Reporting in newspapers, magazines, T. V. , radio or the digital mediums usually comes under journalism. And based on the different mediums, the field of journalism can be divided into three broad categories namely the print (I. e. the newspapers and magazines), electronic (I. e. T. V. and radio) and online journalism. So based on your interests you could even choose for a course specific to one of these mediums. Hence first selection should be of a good college which is of repute so that it can give the best academic excellence in the form of best faculty who are there to help you. Added to this, well-equipped labs and library. Exposure of the students to the world market and a wide platform for the student to deal with the world level activities is a must. There are many live projects in LPU.
