If your question pertains to the eligibility to get a Job in Journalism and Mass Media domain, then, My answer will be a well observed number. There's no need to do a Degree just to get a job in Mass Media. But of course, the opportunity to learn about Mass Media. Now comes when you are doing a formal course, there are millions who are in Media with and without a degree. It is not important to have a degree.

The question is a common query on Shiksha and on many other platforms. It is often asked by the students as well. The Name- ' nomenclature' is given to a course by a University which has the right to do so. The equality of the course has to be determined though with other Institutions. M.A. In Mass Comm, or M.A in mass communication and Journalism are same. I have done an M.A in Journalism and Mass Communication which is same as well as equal to an M.A. In Mass Comm. Even the M.A in Media Studies shall be considered equal and same.

No course or training can claim to make one a journalist. The courses train persons in the technical aspects only, to ensure one's success in the field one must have an inborn ability to write and produce new stories in the correct, concise and interesting style. Educational Qualification to becoming a journalist: Bachelor's degree or post-graduate degree in journalism/mass communication is required to pursue a career in this field. The additional coursework specialised training or experience, fieldwork or internship increases one's opportunities in the field. Admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2. Minimum Eligibility to apply for BA in Mass Communication and Journalism from Parul University is that candidate should have a pass mark of 45% in class 12th. Interested candidates can apply online with required information. Regards.
