Hi Shashank!
You can opt for a UG or PG course in Journalism or Mass Communication. The course will familiarize you with how the industry works and what are the skills needed to be a successful journalist. Once you complete the course, apply for an internship in a news organisation and begin your journey from there. Sports is one of the beats of journalism like crime, politics, fashion, etc. And it is upto you which beat you chose for your career.

Your Percentage does not matter in taking the decision. If you are interested in News reporting and field related to News channel, Newspaper, Magazines, etc. You should go for Journalism. However if you are more interested towards Production work of the media industry then you should definitely opt for Film Making. What your main interest is will only define what you should opt for.

Talking about the placements, there is a dedicated training and placement office which is actively helping students get placed and make their careers. Placements for mass communication wing is good and improving a lot. Also, students need to be aware of their part for the opportunities they get while covering the studies. Best of luck.

Hi Vikas,
See, Diploma in journalism, first of all, in AMU is on-campus that means no distance learning is offered.
Secondly, if you want to make a career in journalism and print media then a post-graduate degree in journalism is required.
Talking about the qualities, one should have a curious mind, will power, an aptitude for presenting information in a precise, concise and effective manner. It's well and good that you have decided your goals, just set out the path and travel on those and there are many people who will guide you to help you reach your goals.
Best of luck.
