First, learn to write, report and edit. Being able to tell a concise, interesting and informative story is the same whether it is a school board meeting or a baseball game.
The world is filled with sports junkies who have dreams of being a sports journalist, but who are unwilling to learn the craft of being a journalist first.

Journalism courses are offered at graduation and postgraduation levels. To become a journalist, one can complete a Bachelor's in mass communication/ mass media/journalism after +2. After completion in a related graduation field, one may complete a Master's in journalism or mass communication. A graduate (who has a flair for writing) from any other field can also opt for a postgraduate course in journalism.

No, its certainly not necessary to do MBA if you want to come a travel journalist. Being a travel Journalist is more about knowing and understanding the culture and aura of place you visit. I will suggest with your studies also start exploring different places near by and shoot documentaries. will help in your communication skills and also how you look at different aspects of cultural diversity.
