In my opinion you can go for B.J. M. C. that is Bachelors in Journalism and Multimedia. You need to pursue from a good college which will give you exposure to the professional worls along with a good platform. I know the web site of LPU which would inform you the eligibility for a course, admission criteria as well as the scholarship for which you would be eligible including the scholarships it offers to aid education in such grim conditions of covid. The entrance test syllabus and paper pattern too is given. It has its students working in ANI and other news agencies. There are journalists who are working with celebrities too. Having said that Journalism and Mass Communication is a practical oriented course and requires learning of many technical aspects. Journalism students involved in a lot of activities whether it's print or electronic media, during the course you would go for 6 months training and according to your area of interest PCTE would also get you a job once you are graduated so you don't have to look for a job. Journalism and mass communication however is a very interesting course I have seen the students do a lot of practical work, they buzz around the campus to cover campus events with drones, gamble, and other sophisticated gadgets.
Visited this soundproof studio where mixing and editing computers, software and equipment are used by the students. Later saw several videos which were shared in our WhatsApp groups, which were shot and made by Journalism dept students. I was really inspired. M.A. Journalism needs a really good faculty but this is not enough. The college from you pursue your degree has a lot to do for shaping your career. It is not only in giving placements but a lot more. The university right from the campus prepares you for jobs of journalism from the campus itself. My friend Vikrant Pratap from Lovely Professional University, was directly selected from the campus by ANI. There are many reasons for such selections. The most important thing is when you are in the campus the university gives you many opportunities of practicing your journalism with the dignitaries that visit the campus. Such links and good work of yours exposes you to the world of media automatically and you become a confident person and a fearless journalist.
