No, internship is not a part of the curriculum of MBA at Kakatiya University. However, the students are required to undergo a practical training of six weeks, during the summer break, at the end of second semester. During the training period, the candidates should work on a specific problem related to the management and working of the organization. At the end of practical training, the student should obtain a certificate for receiving the training from the organisation.

Kakatiya University offers MBA as a CBCS-based PG programme. The MBA curriculum of the university covers subjects such as Organisation Behaviour, Operations Management, International Business, Business Research, etc. In the final year, students can choose one of the following: Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management and Systems Management.

The total number of seats at Kakatiya University, Warangal, for MBA are 120. These seats are allotted to the students who have obtained the required cut-off marks in TS ICET exam. Based on these marks, a rank-based merit list is released, and admission notifications are sent to the eligible candidates. The state reservation policy of Telangana is also followed while the allotment of seats.

The application process for MBA course of Kakatiya University includes applying for TS ICET exam. This application can only be made online of the official website of the exam. The exam is also conducted in online/CBT mode. The results and merit-list will also be declared online. However, to confirm the seat allotment, shortlisted candidates will have to physically report at the campus for counselling process and fee submission.

For this, students can either visit the official website of Kakatiya University or directly visit the TS ICET website. According to the TS ICET 2024 notification, the students belonging to SC/ST category have been given a relaxation in two ways. The minimum required marks in the bachelor’s degree for SC/ST candidates is 45%, as opposed to 50% for the students belonging to the unreserved category. Additionally, there is no minimum qualifying cut-off in TS ICET exam for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. For students belonging to unreserved category, 25% is the minimum qualifying cut-off to be eligible for counselling rounds.

The cut-off required for admission to the MBA programme of Kakatiya University varies from year to year. It is released in the form of closing TS ICET rank at which MBA admission will be provided. In 2024, the closing cut-off rank for MBA admission was 12,282. Candidates who secured a rank above the mentioned TS ICET rank were eligible for admission.
