To get admission to Kalinga University BPharma programme candidates must complete the KALSEE application process. The overall percentage required for the Kalinga University BPharma programme is 45% aggregate for General candidates and 40% aggregate for candidates belonging to ST/SC or OBC category. The BPharma is offered in three modes: regular, lateral, and practice. Additionally, candidates must secure 50% aggregate in the university-based entrance exam, KALSEE. Candidates can follow the KALSEE exam pattern for admission to the BPharma programme at Kalinga University. Along with the percentage, BPharma's eligibility criteria include certain subjects such as Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology.

Direct admission to BSc at Kalinga University is not applicable. Kalinga University has a good record of placements. During the 2021 placements, 809 students were placed in reputed companies. Out of the total students placed, 405 students were from the UG programmes and 404 were from the PG programmes. Kalinga University placement report 2023 is yet to be published on the official website. However, the NIRF report 2023 is released. As per the report,  475 UG and 426 PG students were placed during Kalinga University placements 2022. The median package offered to UG students ranged between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 4.2 LPA,  respectively. For PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) courses, the median package stood at INR 2.55 LPA and INR 4.5 LPA, respectively.
