Karnataka University course admission process vary depending upon the programme level. Admission to the PG level courses is entrance-based. Aspirants have to appear for the department entrance exam followed by counselling round for selection. While admission to the UG courses offered by KUD-affiliated colleges is merit-based. The step-wise admission criteria is explained below:STEP 1: KUD Application Process 2024In order to apply for the desired course, aspirant need to complete the application form and submit it before the deadline. The application form can be filled out in online mode through the university official website. It shall also be available in offline mode at the university admission office.STEP 2: Entrance ExamCandidates who registered successfully and applied for PG courses need to appear for the respective department entrance exam. For the UG courses, the selection is done based on the aspirants score in the last qualifying exam. STEP 3: Result DeclarationThe results of the entrance examinations are released after the entrance exams are conducted successfully. It is declared in the form of a merit list. The list carries name/roll number of the selected candidates. Merit list candidates are further required to take part in the centralised counselling for seat allotment.STEP 4: Counselling & Seat AllotmentAfter the release of merit list, selected candidates have to go through the centralised counselling process. During this procedure, seats are allotted to eligible candidates. Selected candidates are then required to pay the admission fee for the allotted seat. The fee payment (allotment letter should be carried along) can be done at the State Bank of India (SBI) and Canara Bank counter or in online mode.

About 70–80% of Karnataka University's MBA students are placed in reputable companies, which is a very promising placement rate. Infosys, TCS, Asian Paints, ITC, and other top recruiting companies offer an average salary package of approximately 3.5 LPA. Many companies visit the campus to hire students, and the university boasts a strong alumni base. Good salary packages, with freshmen starting at 3-6 LPA, are offered to these companies. The college permits students to participate in other pool campus interviews, and placement rates are said to be approximately 100%. All things considered, Karnataka University's MBA placements appear to be good, giving students the chance to launch their careers in reputable businesses. 

For MBA students, Karnataka University Dharwad provides a range of scholarships. A scholarship worth Rs. 50,000 is available to students who have passed the Karnataka College of Management's GD&PI and have obtained a score of at least 70% in their degree, 10th, and 12th exams. For students who have passed the Karnataka College of Management's GD&PI and have obtained a 60% or higher on their 10th, 12th, and degree exams, there is an additional scholarship available, worth Rs. 25,000. There are only 20 scholarships available, so applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must have finished a bachelor's degree that lasted at least three years and earned at least 50% of their total points in all subjects—including language courses. The minimum aggregate marks for Karnataka candidates who are SC/ST and Category-I are 45%. The University Grants Commission (UGC) must accept the graduation degree. Candidates may also apply through the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to the MBA programme by taking the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET). The admission exam results and qualifying exam scores are the main factors used in Karnataka University's MBA programme selection process.
