KCET Syllabus

KCET 2025 syllabus is designed based on the first and second-year Pre-University Course (PUC) syllabi, that are followed for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, and Kannada for a few candidates. Each of the subjects has key topics including mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, and modern physics in Physics; physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry in Chemistry; algebra, calculus, and statistics in Mathematics; and botany and zoology in Biology. The exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions per subject, carrying 1 mark each. There is no negative marking in case the question is attempted wrong. Students need to prepare themselves for all the questions that are included in the syllabus and solve as many previous years' question papers as possible.

The KCET and JEE Main syllabus are more or less similar. Applicants can take the KCET since majority of the questions are the same as those in JEE Main. But KCET training by itself is insufficient to succeed in JEE Main. The primary JEE questions will be more conceptual, therefore getting ready is crucial. The Karnataka Examination Authority administers the state-level Karnataka Common Entrance Test, or KCET (KEA). To get admitted to undergraduate programmes such as B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc., B.Pharma, etc., applicants may take the KCET exam. The Karnataka CET, KEA CET, and Kar CET are other names for the KCET entrance exam. Private engineering colleges are in addition to state-run engineering colleges.
