So, to get into one of those top colleges in silicon city like Bangalore, as per the statistics of the previous year, you need to get atleast 280 rank through general category for those like RV, MSRIT, PES. That means, your marks should be around 89 -90% minimum. That is 275 and above for the main 3 subjects which is out for 300. No, you can get admission through COMEDK or management quota.

My advice is to study for JEE Mains and these exams will be too simple and if you do well in MH-CET then you can get admission in VJTI, the best college in Maharashtra other than IIT, Bombay.

Kindly specify the branch in which you have a keen interest.

I think it's enough because JEE Mains is one of the toughest exams in India. So, you will easily qualify with good rank in KCET. You should concentrate only on one thing.

Study your course books only. They are enough, and solve previous year question papers of KCET and try to improve your marks with every question paper you solve. In this way, you will get to know what they are asking and what are the topics you needed to be covered.

There is only one difference between these two and the difference is only Karnataka students are eligible for KCET and rest other than Karnataka students are eligible for COMEDK for same colleges in the state of Karnataka.
