The college releases cutoff ranks for the selection rounds until all the seats are allotted. MEC Kochi recent cutoff for the BTech courses is not available. In 2021, the KEAM closing rank was most competitive for CSE- 1117, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering - 3292, and Electronics and Biomedical Engineering - 11430. The ranks mentioned here were for the General-All India category students.

The syllabus of KEAM is prescribed by CEE Kerala. The KEAM syllabus comprises all three subjects Physics Chemistry & Mathematics. KEAM syllabus is based on class 11 and 12 examinations. The weightage of the subjects in KEAM will be 5:3:2 in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

The specified period of time when the user doesn't work with the KEAM application is called session time out. The applicant has to login again to proceed further. To avoid this session time out, candidates are requested to use ‘Save’ button frequently, available in the application page which will facilitate to save the entered data so far.

It is better to submit income certificate by all candidates except SC/ST. Those candidate (including General Category) who wish to avail the benefits such as fee concession/scholarships that may be notified by the Government or college authorities subsequently, based on annual family income, should furnish the Income Certificate along with the KEAM application itself. No further chance will be allowed to submit Income Certificate.
