After the announcement of KEAM scores, the candidates are asked to submit the 10+2 scores. CEE will give 50:50 weightage to the KEAM scores and the 10+2 marks to prepare the rank list. Once the sores are calculated, the candidates are ranked in order of merit. The KEAM rank lists PDF will be published separately for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science / B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS will be published.

To qualify in the KEAM Engineering Entrance Examination and thereby become eligible to ger in the Engineering rank list, a candidate has to score a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II of the Engineering Entrance Examination. The candidates who do not score the minimum stipulated marks will not find a place in the rank list. Exemption: For SC/ST candidates there is no requirement of minimum marks in the Engineering Entrance Examination. KEAM B.Pharma merit list is prepared on the basis of index marks calculated as follows:
The Chemistry score obtained from the Paper-I of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination will be multiplied by 2.25 and added to the Physics score obtained from the Paper-I of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. Then the sum so obtained will be multiplied by a factor 2/3 to calculate the index mark for ranking the candidates for the B.Pharma course. The maximum index score will be 480.

In KEAM , the subject of 10+2 that will be used for rank list preparation are Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry. The marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry. Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.

KEAM was an offline exam until 2023. Candidates had to attempt the exam in pen and paper mode. All entries in OMR answer sheet are to be made with blue or black ink BALL POINT PEN only. However, from 2024 onwards, KEAM transitioned to CBT mode.

Each KEAM question paper will have 4 versions as detailed below: Paper I Physics & Chemistry Versions - A1, A2, A3 & A4, and Paper II - Mathematics Versions - B1, B2, B3 & B4 Version means every question paper will have 4 versions. KEAM exam pattern has been revised from 2024 onwards. KEAM is now held in computer-based test mode and there is one paper with three sections (maths, Physics, Chemistry) for BTech candidates and two (Physics, Chemistry) for BPharm candidates. The KEAM entrance exam for engineering courses consists of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75 questions, Physics having 45 questions and Chemistry having 30 questions. Candidates get 180 minutes to complete the exam. There is no paper 1 or paper 2 in KEAM anymore. As per the revised KEAM exam pattern to be followed from 2024 onwards, KEAM will not have two papers anymore. There will be one paper. The KEAM engineering candidates have to attempt a total of 150 questions. Mathematics will have 75 questions, Physics will have 45 questions and Chemistry will have 30 questions to be answered in 180 minutes.
