IIIT Kottayam have 3-4 fests organized every year. Although library is small, students are provided with virtual libraries. Sports facilities in college are limited as college is newly established. College have several active technical and cultural clubs. College is situated in an area of 53 acres. College is full of greenery. At the end life at IIIT Kottayam is so good.

IIIT Kottayam conducts 2 mid semester exams and 1 end semester exam along lab exams, assignments and quizzes. Missing all these minds, assignments, quizzes don't do much but they combinely have a great affect of final CGPA. But one can manage to get passed only with end semester but the CGPA would be very low.
