The cheapest way to get from Thrissur to University of Calicut is to train which takes 2h13m and costs Rs.650-Rs1,400. Alternatively, you can take bus, which costs Rs.1,000-Rs1,400 and takes 2h 33m. But the buses are more frequent, and you can get down right at the University Bus Stop and walk to the Campus. On a good day, with minimal traffic and good roads, it might take around 3-4 Hours (depending upon the speed of the bus). Trains are less frequent. There might be delays.
