For M.Tech admissions at Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC), candidates must appear for the WBUT PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) and obtain a qualifying score. Additionally, GATE scores are given extra weightage, though not mandatory for admission. After the entrance exams, KGEC releases cutoff scores, and candidates must meet these cutoffs to proceed with the counseling and seat allocation process.Specific cutoff marks vary yearly based on the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exams. For those applying without GATE scores, the WBUT PGET score remains essential.
