No, as such there is no entrance exam. But yes, if you want to a regular job in AIR then you have to crack the exam organized by GOI. Otherwise you can work on programme basis or part time basis. You just go for auditions and the criteria which is for hiring casual one. If you voice and way of delivery will be up to mark as AIR, then maybe they will call you.

Hello,
As such there is no fix or average package, totally depend on your skills and interview performance at the time of on campus or off campus placement. Yes, it's right that in starting before graduation or after graduation, students get between 8k to 40k. But don't think about money first. Just try to understand the field one in which you want to work. Within two or three years, as you will know about the fundamentals of industry, they will get higher salary as others.

All India Radio recruits Casual Announcers and also has been offering regular announcer jobs. What type of Questions are to be asked in an Interview for the Profile of an Announccer or Compere with AIR is a question which cannot get definite answers. The Audition remains the Basic Thing one has to qualify because after all it is VOICE that is going to matter the Most. The Interview shall analyse the following:

2. Language/Diction
3. Skills to Present the Content/Voice Modulation
