The food in the mess of KIT's Institute of Management Education and Research KIT's IMER is good. There are several messes which cater for vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian diets so that taste and flavors are varied. Hygiene accompanies the preparation, and nutritional value is maintained. Students like the fact that the menu does not remain the same and incorporates dishes of the local cuisine in it. Feedback is always actively sought from residents to improve the quality and variety of food. In all, the hostel mess aims to provide a comfortable dining experience, adding positively to the students' living condition on campus.

Yes, SGU offer better placements than KIT's IMER. Placement rates at SGU are reportedly above 90% for a several of programmes, including the MBA and B.Tech. Depending on the programme and area of expertise, the average package ranges from INR 3.10 LPA to 5.50 LPA. Their success is attributed to their strong industry connections and specialised placement cell.Over 80% of students who applied to KIT's IMER were placed. A package typically costs between INR 3 and 4 LPA.
