During the B.E./B.Tech application in KJ's Educational Institute they demand the following documents, original 10+2 mark sheet having 50% marks in PCM, a copy of JEE Main or MHT CET score card, caste certificate, if applicable within a period of 6months validity, and non-creamy layer certificate if the candidate belongs to the OBC category. To add on to it, candidates are required to produce a domicile certificate, a transfer certificate, and character certificate. Another prerequisite is a medical fitness certificate and if the candidate has taken a gap year the he/she needs to produce a gap certificate. All documents need to be certified and should either be in or converted to PDF format, preferably not greater than 2MB in size. All together 10-12 documents are required for application .

Actually the process of the application of KJ Educational Institute as follows; First, candidates must create an account with the specific institute and complete an application form on the institute's official website normally available between February – March of each year. The application fee is Rs 1000/ for General Category candidates and Rs 500/ for SC/ ST/ PWD/ EX tenure category candidates. Applicants require to upload their scanned copies of respective documents like 10+2 mark sheet, JEE Main/MHT CET score card and in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, caste certificate. The institute rechecks the documents and comes up with merit list, for the B.E./B.Tech programme there are 600 seats. Students are then invited to come for counseling and seat filling, a process undertaken between June and July each year.

The marking point with reference to the KJ's Educational Institute differs according to branches and the categories of admission. The overall merit of MHT CET for general category students for 2022-23 academic year for B.Tech course in Various disciplines are as follows Computer Science & Engineering– 93.13, Mechanical – 87.45 and Electrical Engineering 83.67 percentile. For reserved category students the cutoff was 78.56 percentile for Computer Science Engineering, 73.45 percentile for Mechanical Engineering and 69.67 percentile for Electrical Engineering. For general category students, the percentile rank was 75.45 whereas for the reserved category students it was 65.67.

Candidates will only be selected to the B.E./B.Tech programme at KJ's Educational Institute if they qualify through the JEE Main or MHT CET entrance examination, with 75% for general category students and 65% for reserved category aspirants. A candidate should also have cleared the 10+2 examination from a recognized, other Boards/ Councils/ Universities with Science stream with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, English optional. The admission normally starts in April-May, and the deadline for submission of application is normally in June. Out of the total of 600 seats for the B.E./B.Tech, 30% seats are for the Management quota.

KJ's Educational Institute is providing different scholarships to the deserving students each year there are up to 200 scholarships have been offered. Currently the institute has only one scholarship based on merit as the first year students who have scored above 90% in the 10+2 examination are given 50% waiver on their tuition fees. Namely, the institute also has a campus-based merit-cum-means scholarship in which 25 percent of the tuition fee will be waved for children from financially weak families. The institute also involves in those government sponsored scholarship programs, there is Maharashtra Government's Scholarship Scheme as well which offers 100% tuition fee concessional for the selected candidates. In the academic year 2023-24, sum of 1.5 crores was disbursed by these scholarships to 150 number of students.
