KMAT

For studying for the KMAT exam, there is no one best book. You must choose your study materials in accordance with the KMAT exam syllabus. Here are some section-by-section book suggestions from professionals to assist you in preparing for the KMAT entrance exam:
1. You must regularly read the newspaper in order to do well on the KMAT's verbal ability and reading comprehension sections. Additionally, you can choose a verbal aptitude book from Norman Lewis' Word Power Made Easy, Arun Sharma and Meenakshi Upadhyay's Sharma and Upadhyay, or Wren and Martin's Wren and Martin.
2. You can choose from Nishit Sinha's, Arun Sharma's, or Abhijit Guha's quantitative aptitude for the section on quantitative ability.
3. You should study topics in any reputable book on logical reasoning in order to prepare for the section on logical reasoning. You can choose between Peeyush Bharadwaj, RS Aggarwal, and Arun Sharma.

The KMAT exam is conducted by the Karnataka Private Postgraduate College Association. The admission process through the KMAT entrance exam is as follows:
1. Register for KMAT by filling out an application form at the official KMAT portal.
2. After the successful announcement of KMAT results, the participating colleges will start the admissions process.
3. Based on available seats in each course, the colleges will announce course-wise cutoffs.
4. Those who meet the cutoffs for their respective colleges must apply on the college's official website.
5. Some colleges will conduct an interview or group discussion round with shortlisted candidates for admission.
6. Some other colleges admit students based on their academic scores at graduation and KMAT scores.
7. After this, colleges will publish a list of selected candidates in each course who will have to pay the course fee by the due date.

The level of difficulty of the exam is the same in both the KPGCET and the KMAT. The PGCET is conducted by KEA for MBA and other postgraduate courses, whereas the KMAT is for MCA and MBA courses in private colleges.
1. Due to eligibility requirements, competition for KMAT is higher than for PG CET because it is a national-level exam.
2. This leads to a higher score requirement at top colleges accepting KMAT. Unlike with PGCET, where you are assigned a college based on rank.
3. The level of difficulty of the questions varies from year to year in KMAT. Most of the moderate-to-difficult questions on the KMAT are in the reasoning and quantitative sections.
4. Since there is no negative marking, candidates can find both exams at their moderate level.
5. The GK questions in the PG CET can be challenging due to the vast syllabus, but mostly the question level is easier.

Both the KMAT and MAT exams are conducted for admission to management courses. These exams differ in the following ways:
1. The KMAT score is mostly accepted in Karnataka management colleges, whereas the MAT score is accepted in more than 800 management colleges.
2. The KMAT is conducted once a year, whereas the MAT is conducted four times a year.
3. The KMAT is comparably tougher than the MAT. The MAT exam is more convenient to take as it is available in three modes.
4. In contrast to MAT scores, KMAT enables qualified students to request a fee waiver in their designated B school.
5. The KMAT registration fee is lower than MAT. The KMAT registration fee is Rs. 800, whereas the MAT fee is Rs. 1850.
6. The MAT has a 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers, whereas the KMAT has no negative marking.
