The students have to score more than 80 to 90 percent aggregate marks in the entrance exam to take admission.The Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering and Diploma in Information Technology is a courses under State Council of Technical Education, Nagaland under the Directorate of Technical Education. The duration of the Course is 3 years. Admission to the course will be done during May/June every year. Admission notice is published in the local newspapers and some national newspapers about a month prior.

Protsahan Puraskar Scheme: This scholarship scheme has been designed for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female Students. These students qualify for fee waive-off only after they have cleared papers in the first attempt. Additionally, they are asked to submit certain proofs that include:Proof of pursuing O/A/B/C level as full-time coursesRegistration/op-gradation ProofIncome Proof (should not exceed Rs 10 LPA from all sources)Proof for passing the examination of the relevant.

You can get admission into the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Kohima with 70% marks in 12th, but you have to pass the entrance exam conducted at the national level for admission in B.Tech courses in different government and some private colleges. Some of the exams conducted at the national level are the JEE  for engineering and CUET and many other examinations conducted by the university itself.

A candidate seeking to take admission ib National Institute of Electronics and information technology Kohima can find the cut off for admission in b tech courses on the official website of this college . A student wanted to take admission through JEE entrance exam can check the cut off on the official website of JEE ie NTA National Testing Agency which conduct JEE Mains and advance examination

Yes, NIELIT Kohima offers better placement then NIELIT Shimla . Since in year 2022 the highest package offered to the students in Kohima was 45 Lacs but in Shimla the highest salary offered to the students was only 25 Lacs and average salary of Shimla was also lower than that of Kohima. So NIELIT Kohima gives better placement then NIELIT Shimla to the students.

Prominent multinational corporations including Deloitte, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, etc. participated in the NIT Nagaland placement drive. These companies are some of the most famous multi-national companies. Some of them like Infosys and cognizant offer the student a starting salary of about 6 Lacs and the highest salary is about 40 to 45 Lacs per year. These two are the top recruiters for this college.

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Kohima offers the students of Nagaland. A starting salary of about INR 13 Lakh and the highest up to INR 30 Lakh.Since it is a national-level college, it is good for education purposes for the students. The fee for B.Tech students is about INR  1,20,000 i.e INR 1 Lakh 20 thousand per year for Core branches like CSE.

There are 120 spots available for each session of the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course offered by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima.
