There are about 60+ Engineering colleges in Kolkata that offer BTech Courses. Among them, 48 Engineering colleges are privately owned, 12 Engineering colleges are owned by the public/government, and public-private organisations own 1 Engineering college. WBJEE and JEE Main are the main accepting entrance exams in top Engineering colleges in Kolkata. Among these, 48 are privately owned, 12 are government/public institutions, and 1 is a collaboration between public and private organizations. The primary entrance exams accepted by the top engineering colleges in Kolkata are WBJEE and JEE Main. WBNUJS Kolkata accepts CLAT scores for admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M courses. NLU  Kolkata cutoff 2024 for Round 1 is yet to be release. However, as per the Nalsar University of Law cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) was 260. So, considering the NUJS previous year cutoff, this year it is expected that the Round 1 cutoff will range between 250 to 270. NSOU Kolkata offers study materials to the students after they enroll themselves in the programmes offered at the university. Students can collect their SLM, i.e. self-learning material from their allocated learner support centre. To collect the SLMs students have to show their receipt provided by the university. Students can also study from a softcopy of the same available on the official website. The study material is available in two mediums, i.e. English and Bengali.

Yes, NSOU Kolkata offers direct admissions to all of its programmes. Candidates are not required to appear for any entrance exam. Interested candidates can directly apply through the official website and get admission by paying the fees.

Candidates who want to pursue an MBA programme from NSOU Kolkata don’t have to appear for any entrance test. The eligibility criteria of the programme don’t require a score of any entrance test. Candidates, who have a graduation degree in the stream of Medicine/Law/Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture are eligible to pursue the programme directly.
