You have to score above 70% for getting a seat in IMU Kolkata because ther is very few seats available. The eligibility criteria is as pe University 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th examination.but with 70 %younhave to wait for the second list for your addmission. With 70 % in 12 th class you give IMU- CET entrance exam for scholarship and addmission .Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of cut-off in IMU-CET entrance examination conducted by the university. Basically Admission criteria for B.Tech. Marine Engineering is minimum of 60% marks in PCM and minimum of 50% in English in 10+2 and have qualified IMU-CET.but with this marks you have need to qualify the university entrance exam for addmission.

A few (4) of my seniors were placed in Dr. Reddy's lab with salaries around 9 lpa. It is a Science institute and a newly made placement cell. (because most of the students opt for higher education after the completion of their studies )Some students also go for government jobs. But as the institute has signed some MoU s with well established foreign institutes (with jku Austria, UDE in Germany, university of Pennsylvania in USA, RWTH Aachen in Germany to name a few) and the high standings in global rankings (placed 48th in young institutes contributing to quality research world-wide by nature, 2019). These factors contribute to a good enough background for a future PhD or MS in other countries. B.Sc in biological sciences is a top course in IISER Kolkata and has a better placement, having average package 7 LPA and higher package is approximately 14 to 15 LPA. 

The median package offered was INR 6 LPA during placements 2021. However, the median package of INR 7 LPA was offered in 2021. The stats we got from this year's campus placements at IISER-B are highly varied. For instance, the highest package offered was around 10.5 - 11 LPA, whereas the lowest was around 5.5 - 6 LPA. On the other hand Presidency university, It is a good college for physics Hons with great faculty members and good infrastructure. Placements: Physics is not a technical course, so there is no such placement in this course. However, it is the best course to go for higher studies. Students can get a chance to do their PhD from abroad. So placements in Presidency University is good as IISER on thier equal term

IISER Kolkata offers decent placement, it is a reputed institute, so it provides good placement, and various top recruiters participate in its placement drive. IISER Kolkata placement 2022 is not completed yet. The institute aims to achieve a higher percentage of placements every year and thus facilitates students with all requirements and organises various skill-enhancing and learning programmes.
