Yes, candidates are not required to appear for WBJEE exam to get admission to BTech. UEM does not consider WBJEE score for providing admission to the BTech course. However, candidates are shortlisted for BTech course based on IEMJEE score followed by a counselling round. Candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 70% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 are eligible to apply for BTech specialisations.

IEMJEE is the exams for the admission in graduation and post graduation courses student must score 60 percent marks in class 12 for graduation courses and score 50 percent for taking admission in PG courses including MBA courses. Students can take admission directly in BCA and MCA courses.
