The criteria for qualifying the KSET exam are as follows: a) Minimum marks: Candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks in both paper 1 and paper 2 to qualify for the exam. General category candidates must score 40 per cent aggregate marks in both papers. OBC NCL, SC, ST, and PWD category candidates have to secure 35 per cent aggregate marks in both papers b) Top 6% of candidates: In addition to the above criteria, the top 6% of candidates who appear for both papers and score the minimum qualifying marks will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only. Yes, it is mandatory for candidates to appear for both KSET Paper 1 and 2 to qualify for the KSET exam. The candidates have to qualify for both papers separately. Candidates who will qualify for one paper will not be considered as qualified for the KSET exam. Paper 1 consists 50 questions for 100 marks. Paper 2 consists 100 questions for 200 marks. The candidates are advised to study paper 1 as paper 2 or they will not qualify for the KSET exam.

If a candidate joins a private university as a fresher (no prior experience of teaching) then the average salary offered by the salary is INR 500-800 per class. No, qualifying the KSET exam will not gaurantee the job for assistant professorship in college or university, it is only an eligibility exam. It means that candidates who will qualify for the exam are eligible to become an assistant professorship. To get job as assistant professorship they will need to apply for the vacancies released by the different universities. On the other hand, the qualified candidates who want to take jobs in the government universities have to appear in the exams conducted by the Karnataka state universities.

If you apply for the KSET check all the details before submitting your application ensure it is correct.   Candidates will not be able to edit all the details mentioned in the KCET application form 2024 and can modify a few details only. The KCET correction facility 2024 will be available only for registered candidates. Candidates have to ensure that all the corrections are done within the specified time.

hi.Candidates must fulfil all KSET Eligibility 2023 requirements in order to take the upcoming KSET Exam. The candidates who are pursuing their Master's Degree or have completed their Ph.D. can register for the exam. The candidates appearing for the exam should be a resident of Karnataka State and must have studied up to Masters's level. The candidates belonging to other states are also eligible, however, they will be considered under General Category.
