IGNOU is more affordable for an MSc degree when compared to Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). The IGNOU MSc course fee ranges from INR 15,000 to INR 33,600. The KSOU MSc tuition fee ranges from INR 54,700 to INR 1.5 lakh. Accordingly, IGNOU becomes a good option for students, who are worthy of quality education at a reasonable cost, especially the MSc course. However, the fee mentioned here is extracted from the official website/sanctioning body and hence remains liable to change and so only indicative.

Admission to the KSOU MBA programme is solely based on merit. However, merit is determined by the performance of candidates in their last qualifying examination. Candidates should have obtained a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least an aggregate of 50% marks, or 45% in the case of SC/ST candidates. Those having less than the prescribed minimum percentage of marks shall have at least three years of relevant supervisory, managerial, or professional experience. Admission of the candidates will be selected on the basis of the entrance examination.

After the process of application and document verification, selected candidates must submit the first-year BSc fee. This includes the first-year tuition fee, admission fee, security deposit, etc. The amount of BSc fee payable at admission is INR 23,900. The first-year fee for BPL Holders (Women), Defense & Ex-servicemen, Auto/Cab Drivers & their families, KSRTC/BMTC/KKRTC staff is INR 21,840.
