Congratulations for your result , as per my best knowledge there are 300 seats total at KS before there were 250 seats but 50 seats were added last year so total 300 seats are there and for EWS category you should refer to particular website of government or university. But there is hope as in categories there is chances of getting admission at 75%.

As per the information provided by the college, there are a number of companies that visit the college for placements. Please check the list (as provided by the college).
American Megatrends, Aon Hewitt, Aspire, BirlaSoft, CADeploy, Capgemini, Convergys, CSS Corp, CTS, Excelacomm, First American India, Glenwood Systems, ICICI Securities, IDBI Bank, KGISL, Mind Tree Polaris, Sans Pareil, Strategi Automation, Sure Soft Systems, Vee Technologies, Wipro and Zifo Technologies.
There are about 60 seats for this course so I believe such a number of companies coming for placements are good against the number of students.

Sky is the limit for a qualified Nanotechnologist. This field is expected to boom in the future and throw up a large number of job opportunities with handsome pay packages. The initial pay scale depends upon the industry. In government sector, a person with an M.Tech degree can expect a salary of around INR 20,000 to INR 30,000 per month.
