The Lamar University Acceptance rate is 84%. Making the university less competitive. However students are advised not to take it lightly, in order to be admitted at Lamar University, it is recommended to have a strong academic profile, including competitive scores in the GMAT or GREs.  However, the admission process at Lamar University takes a holistic approach, considering multiple factors in the student's profile. These factors include Leadership, Work experience, essays, LOR and interviews that the students give during their admission process.

Yes, it is, mainly because the university has more than 1,013 international students enrolled in the fall of 2022 hailing from 59 countries, the highest in a decade. This surely proves that it’s open to international students. However,   Lamar University offers various UG and PG programs that have been redesigned to cater to the academic needs of international students. Lastly, Lamar University is an inclusive and welcoming institution and provides a safe environment for international students regardless of their nationality, colour and background.

If you're unable to pass a course you will have to pursue the course again and obtain a C or better. But it should be noted that your original grade will be considered in your cumulative record and in calculating GPA.
