Landscape Architect

Most professionals working as 'Landscape Architect' are from engineering background. So, in order to become architecture in landscape you need to have at least Bachelor's degree. You will spend 4-5 years taking classes in design, construction techniques, art, history, and natural and social sciences.
It doesn't matter if you don't have a Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, you can further continue your landscape architect career. But apart from the academic degree, your internal skills matter the most. You must possess a good sense of creativity. Your creativity will allow you to design beautiful outdoor spaces that will be functional as well. Landscape architects must make decisions and solve problems. Strong critical thinking skills will let you identify possible solutions and then evaluate them before choose the best one.

As its name suggests, landscape architect are the one who makes the strategy, models and plans to make the landscape projects of public places, college campuses, office premises, etc. The role of a landscape architect is very calm and introspective. You have to work with the team of professionals of this field (viz, hydrologist, civil engineers, building architect, etc.) to execute the plan by taking the government policies and rules into consideration. As per the latest government data, that employment rate of landscape architect is expected to grow at 5% in the coming decade. The major crucial challenge in this field is writing reports and giving presentations to the clients, investigation of natural resources, features, wildlife and plants in the given area and taking care of them while implementation of the contract. Several institutes offer Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) and Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) Programs for students who plan their career in landscape architectural field. They should have done their internship from a reputed architectural institute along with their course. The candidates who are planning to work as a freelancer in landscape designing need to obtain license from the concerned authority.
The candidate should pass his twelfth class.Need to be creative.Should be a graduate in Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) offered by Amity, Noida and CSIIT, Secunderabad. Those with post graduation in landscape architecture or experience in the respective field are given preference.Those with certificate courses or diploma in the respective area are also treated eligible.Should prove successful in their internship period.Should obtain license in landscape designing.They also need knowledge in computer programs like Computer aided designing (CAD).
