Riverina Institute (part of TAFE NSW) accepts several English proficiency exams for international students. The commonly accepted exams include:• IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Typically, a minimum overall band score of 5.5 to 6.5 is required, depending on the course.• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Both the internet-based (iBT) and paper-based (PBT) tests are accepted. The required scores generally range from 60 to 79 on the iBT.• PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English): A minimum score of 42 to 58 is usually required, depending on the course.• Cambridge English Qualifications: Exams like the C1 Advanced (formerly CAE) or C2 Proficiency (formerly CPE) are accepted, with corresponding score requirements.• Duolingo English Test (DET): Some programs might accept Duolingo scores, with specific score requirements.
