University of Mysore offers MA in English program. The eligibility criteria is as under.
Eligibility: M.A English Students having optional English in B.A./ B.Sc., B.A. Performing Arts / B.A.Ed. (Regional Institute of Education) degree or Postgraduate Diploma in English of the university or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST and Cat-I) candidates) in aggregate.

Generally, you will need to pass advance levels of language study yourself first. This will enable you to get a degree or a certification. You may enroll yourself in a leading language training institute which offers a thorough language training followed up internship or a placement offer. That way, you will have a qualified start for teaching the language.

Correspondence is not valuable. It's better to go with B.Ed as M.Ed is possible only if you have a PG. And moreover, B.Ed is enough for joining as a teacher in a School.

Each college has to reserve not more than 5% seats in each course under the Sports and ECA quota combined. Candidates applying in ECA quota will get a maximum of 15% concession cut-off.

You can fill University forms and visit any college of University because in most of colleges it is like first come first serve.
