South Western Sydney Institute of TAFE accepts scores from various English proficiency tests: IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic and Cambridge English. IELTS calls for an overall score of 5.5 or 6.5, with no band lower than 5.0 or 5.5, depending on the course. In the case of TOEFL, scores range from 46 to 60, with course-specific requirements. PTE Academic scores range from 42 to 58, depending on the programme of study. Cambridge English scores range from 162 to 176, depending on the course. All these tests have differences in cost-IELTS costs about AUD 330 (which comes to approximately INR 17,500), TOEFL AUD 300 (approx. INR 16,000), and Academic IELTS about AUD 330 (which comes to approximately INR 17,500). 

According to the University of Luxembourg, candidates whose first language is not English or who have not finished their previous coursework in the language must demonstrate their English competency. Tests like the TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge English certifications are accepted. A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 to 6.5 is required for most programs, while an internet-based TOEFL score normally falls between 80 and 100. Different programs may have different prerequisites, particularly for those in professions requiring greater expertise, like business or law. Candidates are urged to confirm compliance by reviewing the language requirements for the programme of their choice.

Indian students can find several scholarships offered with Northern Virginia Community College, the International Student Scholarship offering up to USD 1,000 (INR 83,000) per semester. Each of these scholarships each ranges from up to USD 2,000, approximately INR 1.66 Lacs per year (the NOVA Foundation Scholarship). The annual amount of Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship is about USD 40,000, about INR 33.2 lakhs. If you are an Indian student applying for these scholarships, you must have your application submitted not later than the deadline (usually around March or October), have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and demonstrate financial need.
