I have recently heard about the Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pune that has excellent faculty and infrastructure, you can go through it as it accepts lateral entry scheme and if you don't want to go far then
There is DTU in Delhi that accepts lateral entry scheme.

Hello Reva, lateral admission to directly second year of four year degree course in engineering in Maharashtra is based on marks obtained in BSc or Diploma examination. I do not think it is based on any entrance exam conducted by Govt of Maharashtra. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information even though it is for COEP.
