Many BTech Electrical Engg. colleges in India provide lateral entry admission to 3-year engineering Diploma holders either on the basis of merit or through lateral entry entrance exams. This will allow you to directly enter the 2nd year of BTech Electrical Engineering course. Coming to the eligibility requirements, most of the engineering colleges prefer at least 50% marks in your Diploma final exams. Rest, you can read the lateral entry entrance exam guidelines given on the college website you wish to get admission to.
