Yes, you are eligible to take admission in this college through lateral entry. You can get admission in electronics and communication only if you have done Diploma in electronics and communication engineering. You should apply for the same. Your entrance rank is good enough to get you a seat.

I think there is no examination. They provide admission on the basis of academics.

There is a college level counselling so keep a track of that and be in touch with the college that you want to attend. Keep all the documents handy.

Lateral entry means, you have already completed your Diploma. Instead of four years, you will get a engineering degree in just three years. You will get admission directly in second year. That's it.

Yes, you are eligible you don't worry about it. You have a B.Tech degree so you can do easily this hence start preparing for GATE.

In BMSCE, correspondence course is not available. Moreover, here 85% attendance is still compulsory.
