There are plenty of colleges, in fact almost all the colleges offering this branch for regular course also offer lateral admission in this course. However, a word of caution. Lateral admissions are invariably restricted to the students of the home state only for government colleges or government aided colleges. Unaided colleges of course take students from all over India basis and also, deemed universities also take students from all India basis. So no need to worry. First, decide which college you want to go and work hard in getting good marks in your Diploma exam because these marks will decide in which college you can ge

It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your graduation in engineering after Diploma via distance education mode. Unfortunately, UGC has clarified only recently that there is no permission for doing professional courses in distance mode of learning. Hence, I would strongly advise you to not think on these lines. However, you can surely think of joining regular college. Best wishes to you.
