Yes, you can get a seat in biomedical engineering through lateral entry in GJUST.
Admission to Lateral Entry to 2nd YEAR of B.Tech shall be made through Online Entrance Test to be conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society, Panchkula.

The B.Tech lateral scheme is available at IPU-GBSIU for Diploma engineering and B.Sc degree holders students only. Hence, You are not eligible for B.Tech lateral admission.

The Minimum age to apply should be: 17 years
Whereas candidates can only apply to the age maximum of 21 years.

Hello Aman,
COEP indeed admits students based on lateral admission procedure. However this college is invariably on the top of students preference. As a result, the percentage required is of high order. As you are from open category, you need to score at least 90% in your Diploma.

I am afraid NIT's do not give admission based on lateral mode. For getting admission in NIT's you need to appear for and clear JEE Mains with good marks.

Hello Sopunjyoti,
Capacity of a course in any engineering college is approved by AICTE & every college has to work within these limits. Lateral admissions are done directly into the 2nd year. Hence there are many variables & constraints on management to admit students. Due to this there is no fixed quota or capacity to accept students under this category. However as a rule of thumb it can be safe to consider 10% seats of intake in first year as number of seats available for lateral admission. Best wishes to you.
