yes ,you can easily take admission in lateral entry of btech but for this you have to know before hand
how the college takes admission directly or through state or national level exam and secure good rank to get preferred branch

On the basis of diploma, you can get admission in any college. You should do counselling for that. Kindly choose college carefully. Take information about placements & quality of education very carefully even you are getting government /autonomous college.

You can apply for Lateral Entry in B. Optometry. Being a health course" Distance Learning " is not recognised. There are many universities which provide Lateral entry after Diploma. You can visit the following website
