Lateral entry admission is offered to BCom, BCA and MCA programme. Under this, a student can directly take admission to the second year of the programme on meeting the eligibility criteria.

NIFT Lateral Entry Admission (NLEA) provides an opportunity to candidates who have completed their Diploma in relevant or related fields of Design & Technology for direct admission to the third semester of UG programmes of NIFT. Eligible candidates have to appear in the NIFT 2025 entrance exam to get lateral admission. Yes, you can join B.Tech after the diploma. You have to write an exam called ECET which will be based on the core subjects related to the Diploma course that which you have to choose, along with that MPC questions (polytechnic level only).

The minimum eligibility for admission to this programme is a Class 12 qualification with a minimum aggregate of 60%. This requirement also applies to candidates with Class 12 qualifications from ICSE and CBSE boards.

For B.tech  (lateral entry ) admission in  Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, you have to qualify NSUT eligibility criteria for B.tech, basically, candidates must qualify JEE mains. If the candidate meets the cutoff then the candidates must attend joint admission Council (JAC). In that, the candidates have to select  Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology as preference and submit the necessary documents.

To get there in B.Tech in computer Science and engineering (lateral entry), you need to have scored minimum 60% (general category).Rest for general B.Tech, you can manage with 45% only.
